By now you have heard of important fats called Omega-3's. In fact there are Omega-6's as well but these are abundant in our diet whereas Omega-3's are quite deficient. Proven to be beneficial for the cardiovascular system they help reduce incidence of heart attacks and lower blood pressure.Furthermore, Omega-3's like EPA and DHA  have  strong anti-inflammatory properties beneficial for easing the pain of conditions such as arthritis. Athletes also need extra Omega-3's to help recovery after strenuous exercise.
